Paperfish

Paper fish are on the rise. Time to expand our BioGenius family. Our insect breeding is now strengthened by the paperfish (Ctenolepisma longicaudata).

And again the "BioGenius family" has expanded: we are now breeding paperfish, Ctenolepisma longicaudata.

An increased occurrence of this species has been observed for some time. Obviously, however, this is not a real spread. They have probably existed, at least in some areas, for some time. However, they were probably not identified as a separate species, but were regarded as silverfish (which they admittedly look very similar to). However, while the silverfish are strongly bound to humidity (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, toilets), the paperfish are more frugal. They are also content with drier environments. They pose a threat to paper archives/documents, books, newspapers and the like. For this reason, their control is sensible, at least there.
