EFSA Transparency Regulation
In March 2021 the Transparency Regulation of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has entered into force. The purpose is to guarantee that applications of plant protection products submitted to the authority meet the specifications and scientific standards. Therefore, all applicants and laboratories can register at the EFSA.
It is necessary that all planned studies are notified before their start at the EFSA. Subsequently the application can be forwarded to the authorities. . The applicant is obliged to register the study with all information at the EFSA and afterwards the conducting laboratory will confirm the notification. After completing this procedure, the experimental phase of the study is allowed to start. If these requirements are not met, studies may be rejected from the application.
We at BioGenius are an EFSA registered laboratory and can co-notify your studies. Feel free to ask for our assistance regarding this topic.
